Free Home Recreation Guide: Cognitive

In this ‘Home Recreation Guide,’ I dive into the cognitive domain of wellness and talk about different recreational activities that are fulfilling to this domain. In this post, I will be sharing about cognitive wellness.

Cognitive wellness is an integral part of our domains of wellness. This is how we learn, think, process, communicate, and more - & everyone does this a little bit differently! We are all unique, and in this free guide there is a mix of visual, verbal, and kinesthetic learning techniques, so pick which works best for you!

My Recommendations:

Groups (Quarantine Adaptation)

Play a Strategy Game (Online/with Housemates)

Play popular board games with people online or invite friends to play board games with you! To name a few Stone Age, Sushi Go, and more!

This game does require you to purchase it, however, I do recommend it as I have had lots of fun! There are various games available and party packs! Have a person screen share the game.

Scrabble Go can be played with friends or against others on the app! Engage your brain and play to gain more points!

Play Trivia Games

This is traditionally used as a study app and can be a live played game, quizzing one another on premade quizzes or creating your own!

You can play solo or play with up to 6 people using your cell phones. You do need to screen share.

Play Mad Libs

Print off Mad Libs sheets or get various Mad Libs Apps to make funny stories - coming up with nouns, adverbs, verbs, places, and more to fill in the blanks!
